10th Annual LREF Gala

LADERA RANCH, CA – The Ladera Ranch Education Foundation (LREF), created to raise funds for all of the public schools serving Ladera Ranch, including Chaparral, Ladera Ranch, and Oso Grande Elementary Schools; Ladera Ranch Middle School; and Tesoro and San Juan Hills High Schools, welcome one and all to attend this year’s marquee event, The LREF Gala.

The LREF Gala is the Ladera Ranch Education Foundation’s (LREF) signature fundraising event. The tenth annual Gala will be held at Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita on May 3, 2014. The Gala event features dinner, live music, dancing and incredible silent auction items. The LREF Gala is organized and planned by an all-volunteer committee and is LREF’s largest fundraiser of each year.

LREF has raised and funded over $309,000 for its school grant program and has processed over $2m in directed grants. The purpose of LREF’S grant program is to support the public schools that serve the community of Ladera Ranch and to provide funds to enrich the learning environment, motivate students, and enhance instructional effectiveness. Grants are awarded on an annual basis and the success of LREF fund raising events directly impacts the amount of funds that are awarded to schools each year. LREF/LPA Musical Program Surpasses $30,000 in Donations

LADERA RANCH, CA – The Ladera Ranch Education Foundation (LREF), created to raise funds for all of the public schools serving Ladera Ranch, including Chaparral, Ladera Ranch, and Oso Grande Elementary Schools; Ladera Ranch Middle School; and Tesoro and San Juan Hills High Schools, is pleased to announce the LREF/LPA Musical program has surpassed $30,000 in donations to our public schools.

The LREF/LPA Musical program provides an opportunity for the children of Ladera Ranch and surrounding communities to participate in musical theater.  Ladera Performing Arts (LPA: http://www.LaderaPerformingArts.com) coordinates and runs the program in conjunction with the Ladera Ranch Education Foundation’s (LREF). Currently, the program is practicing for June 2014 performances of The Sound of Music (details at: http://www.lrefonline.org/events/sound-of-music-al/).

On March 19 at LREF’s Board Meeting, Josh Vecchione of Ladera Performing Arts presented a $5,000 check to LREF in support of LREF’s grant program (http://www.lrefonline.org/grant-program/).

The purpose of LREF’S grant program is to support the public schools that serve the community of Ladera Ranch and to provide funds to enrich the learning environment, motivate students, and enhance instructional effectiveness. The Eighth Annual LREF Gala – The Great Gatsby, March 24 2012

LADERA RANCH, CA – The Ladera Ranch Education Foundation (LREF), created to raise funds for all of the public schools serving Ladera Ranch, including Chaparral, Ladera Ranch, and Oso Grande Elementary Schools; Ladera Ranch Middle School; and Tesoro and San Juan Hills High Schools, welcome one and all to attend this year’s marquee event, The Great Gatsby Gala.

The LREF Gala is the Ladera Ranch Education Foundation’s (LREF) signature fundraising event.  The eighth annual Gala will be held at Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo on March 24, 2012.  The Great Gatsby, 1920′s themed event features dinner, dancing and incredible silent auction items.  The LREF Gala is organized and planned by an all-volunteer committee and is LREF’s largest fundraiser of each year.

 LREF needs sponsorships, donations of any kind, and volunteers in various capacities. Viva Las Vegas Event

LARCS Community Partnership Event to Benefit
the Ladera Ranch Education Foundation

(Ladera Ranch, CA) – Tickets are on sale now for the “Viva Las Vegas” Charity Event that will be held at the Flintridge Clubhouse facility on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Pre-event ticket prices are set at $75 each.

“The value of the ticket price is outstanding “ said LREF Board Member Jeri Rizzi.

Great Pumpkin Festival & Flashlight Candy Hunt

The Great Pumpkin Festival and Flashlight Candy Hunt
is Coming to the Town Green
in Ladera Ranch on October 22, 2011

(Ladera Ranch, CA) – Purchase and decorate your very own pumpkin, take a horse drawn hay wagon ride around the Town Green, participate in a costume parade and a flashlight candy hunt at the Ladera Ranch Community Services (LARCS) and Ladera Ranch Education Foundation (LREF) community partnership event.

This festive fall event will begin at 4:30 pm with all proceeds from the sale of the pumpkins to benefit the Ladera Ranch Education Foundation. At 6:00 pm all children are invited to participate in the costume parade around the Town Green, Flashlight Candy Hunts by age groups will begin at 6:30pm. The Tykes and Toddlers (Ages 0-3) will have their own special candy hunt area that will be opening from 6:30-7:30pm. The event ends at 7:30 pm.

The Ladera Ranch Education Foundation flashes back to the 70s for this year’s Gala

LADERA RANCH, CA – The Ladera Ranch Education Foundation (LREF), created to raise funds for all of the public schools serving Ladera Ranch, celebrates its signature fundraising event with the Groovy Gala, the 7th Annual Gala Event.

On March 19th, 2011, at 5:00pm, the Norman P. Murray Community Center will time warp back to the 70’s with the likes of Jeff Blugrind getting his groove on as this year’s Emcee.

Supported by marquee sponsors, O’Connell Landscape Maintenance and Swirlz Frozen Yogurt, groovy attendees will enjoy groovalicious meals donated by Baja Surf Tacos, Bistro K, BeachFire, The Hot Lunch Lady, and Roma D’ Italia.

Ladera Ranch MS Students to Represent OC

From Capistrano Unified School District – Two Ladera Ranch Middle School teams, led by 6 th grade English teachers Stephanie Avera and Michelle Skidmore, were chosen this week to represent Orange County at the statewide Computer Using Educators (CUE) conference on March 19 in Palm Springs. The winning project, titled Digital Omniscience, focuses on increasing reading comprehension between and beyond the lines using iPhoto, iMovie, and Comic Life. Students Jenna Bowman, Warren Feasel, Kailey Wilson, Davis Han, Lauryn Song, and Leia O’Brian created the project.
